She is currently involved in research projects related to Teacher Education, Higher Education and Islamic Art.

Dr Shamsinar has experience in teaching Art Education modules including Islamic Art. Apart from teaching, she served as Deputy Director of the International and Public Relations Office, Programme Leader for School Partnership, Academic Group Convener of Creative Arts and Sport Studies, Coordinator of the International Master of Teaching Programme and Coordinator and Facilitator of The English Teaching Apprenticeship programme. She was involved in teaching “Designing and Developing Materials” module at University of Manoa under Brunei-U.S. English Language Enrichment Project for ASEAN, Hawaii, USA. She also participated in conducting two lectures on Global Education for UBD MTeach students at Namseoul University, Seoul under the SHBIE Short Course Abroad programme.
