Interests, expertise and current research areas

Dr Hardimah’s interest continues from her doctoral study which was on teachers’ professional and personal development and identity formation through the dynamics of their social interactions during their teacher training as well as during school and classroom teaching. She is also interested in both teachers’ and students’ conceptual understanding in learning scientific concepts and how these effect their understanding and interest in science teaching and learning.

Dr Hardimah is a member of UBD International and Comparative Education Research Group (ICE) led by Prof Phan Le Ha which aims to build educational research dialogues and projects in the context of internationalisation and mobilities of people (http://ice.ubd.edu.bn).

She is also co-editing a SHBIE book project under editors in-charge Prof Phan Le Ha and Prof Keith Wood.

She is a member of Science Literacy Standards Committee in collaboration with Curriculum Development Department, Ministry of Education, Brunei.

From  2015 to 2016, she was a member for Ministry of Education’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) under the group of PISA Research and Evaluation (PREVA).
